HYU Special Message

Hey everybody,
I know you haven't received a newsletter since June. We have been making a lot of changes. HYU is being updated & upgraded. The organizational plan has been in draft for 11 years & the focus is to complete it this year. It is now 30% complete & we're currently working on marketing, management & financial plans. 
In May, all current HYU members & participants were invited to a Community Engagement Focus group & the following is the advise given to us to use in our marketing plan:

• Have a social presence & promote spiritual principles
• Remind all of the benefits of practices & having more spiritual principles for self & future generation.
• Engage local community with door to door communication.
• Get a space for HYU
• Create an questionnaire that engages current members & invites them to participate in current services, programs, projects.
• Have consistent services & programs
• Use a digital platform that everyone is familiar with
• Add genealogy to self study journey
• Use a free offering formula ie a combination of class, gifts, entertainment & food

We also created a 6-month strategy plan for June-December & scheduled a follow up strategy session for Tybi Star Year 424/Janurary 2025. The objectives for the 6-month strategy plan is to:
1. Enhance Community Impact
Strengthen the effectiveness of our organization's initiatives to make a meaningful difference in our community's welfare and development.
2. Strengthen Management Team and Structure
Expand our managerial capacity by increasing the number of managers and implementing a cohesive team structure to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Forge Strategic Partnerships
Foster collaborative alliances and community partnerships to expand resources, leverage expertise, and magnify the collective impact of our nonprofit's endeavors.

Here is a broke down of our strategy for the next 2 seasons:
Summer 2024: During this season we will recruit a few key volunteers, rebrand messaging for different target audiences, create an event strategy, review & establish partnership agreement/evaluation process for new partners & collaborators, optimize website, leverage social media, & recruit two (2) people for the leadership board
Fall 2024: During this season we will check in on summer assignments & complete all unfinished tasks, Increase HYU’s headcount by 2 roles, Develop focus groups and survey’s, review all task, start report of year & prep for strategy session in January

 HYU Operational Updates
We are currently still offering our 8-week self study journey. All will be receiving monthly check ins through text, email, mailing & flyers. Also expect to receive announcements about our 12th year celebration.
