Over The Past 10 Years
HYU has provided services, projects & programs focused on completing our mission of offering a sacred space & safe haven to restore a spiritual foundation of knowing the self. We offer Study of Self classes, ethical teaching through utilizing African spiritual systems & community spiritual ceremonies. This year we unite with others to focus on ancestral healing & celebration through a multicultural event. The purpose of this event is to address the need to close old wounds & a holistic healing process. HYU mission focuses on the restoration of an ancient spiritual foundation of knowing the self. We deal with the deep rooted spiritual and psychology effects of dehumanization. Join us to honor all of our ancestors & accept the responsibility to heal the wounds of the past. The holistic recovery from deep spiritual and psychology wounds is necessary to reconnect to spirit & lead a new way of life.

Ancestral Healing Workshop
Nov. 12 | 1-7pm | 12338 S. Halsted
This workshop will be utilized as a multicultural celebration to focus on resources & techniques for ancestral healing.
Spiritual groups from the Yoruba, Kemetic & Indigenous Spiritual communities will present & share techniques & traditional dishes to connect to self & ancestors.
