Peace all and Happy New Year!
As you may know our Temple uses the Kemetic/Kush Calendar (read Calendar Project in self study). In Chicago it was celebrated by the Temple of the African Communities of Chicago, Earth Center and HYU. September (Anthyr) is the first month of the Year on the Kemetic/Kush calendar. HYU will be kicking off the year with an Intro to Self Study allowing all to study themselves (i.e. ancestry, comos, energy, name, birth, etc). We will be beginning on Khoyak 11, 6256 (October 11, 2015). The entire month of Khoyak we will be focusing on the study of self.
See you soon.

It is a system of restoring the mind, body and spirit and a connection the higher self. We offer meditation every 1st & 3rd Monday. Our doors open at 6pm & session begins at 6:30pm. We will not allow entry after 6:30pm.

The meditation session is for an hour & a half and during the session the instructor introduces three exercises: mind clearing, breathing and focus. Each exercise is 10 – 12 minutes with reflections after each exercise. More details about meditation is under services in the Meditation page.
