Peace all, HYU has 4 projects coming up before the end of the year and we need your help:
Temple Improvement - Your labor of love is needed!
HYU space is under construction. HYU provides a sacred space for healing by offering meditation and self study. We are preparing to grow as a self help, spriritual life and learning center that will enable others find the resource they need to return to the source of all existence. Self Help - Are you ready to create and sustain your own electricity?
HYU mission is to heal the indigenous, Afrikan and the world communities through utilizing ancient spiritual practices & understanding. We adopted the Nguza Saba (7 principles of Kwanzaa) to guide the temple, its members, community participants and HYU objectives. One of our many objectives is to organize, create and implement Self-Support and Sustainability projects focused on fulfilling basic needs (food, housing, transportation, communication & clothing). Therefore, HYU is organizing a DIY Energy Generator class in

Servant Leader Opportunity! - HYU Community & Membership Opportunity
HYU is ready to orient and train new servant leaders in 2016! We are looking to Train/orient at least 6 leaders for Circle of Good Minds in the following shared male/female positions:
Sesh Elder | Sesh of Development | Sesh of Resources | Sesh of Record

We also looking for dedicated members/participants for temple services, programs & projects in the following positions:
1. Meditation Facilitator(s)
2. Self Study instructors/facilitators
3. Community outreach
4. Self-Sustainability Lead

All interest current members/participants and community members are requested to fill out HYU Interest Form. All participants must fill form by July 1.

What is the Circle of Good Minds or even Assembly Members? There are 3 types of membership at Hekalu Ya UKUUNKI: Assembly, Council, & Circle of Good Minds. There are different requirements for each membership. Following are the details for each:

Assembly Membership is open to those individual, organizations, families who support HYU temple’s, purpose, mission, beliefs & vision and attended at least one of the temple’s services.  Must complete an interest form and initiation before membership is official.

Council Membership is open to those who attended community development sessions & study group for at least 12 weeks. This member must also complete initiation and support the temple’s, purpose, mission, beliefs & vision; Attend session

Circle of Good Minds are directly involved in the activities and affairs of Hekalu Ya UKUUNKI; duties and functions are identified by (but not limited to) service. All are Elders (18+), Male and female and not seeking recognition. The Circle consists of at least 5 members with a limit of 12.
